Lake Event Catering 

Lake Event catering offers many different catering service styles. We also offer a mobile catering truck which is a new addition to the Lake Event Catering team. Before choosing your catering service style you will have a meeting discussing the different types of foods or appetizers that you would like serviced to your event. Once you have chose your meal plan you get to choose a catering service style from the list below: 

• Reception Service: Light foods are served displayed buffet-style on a table. Guests usually stand and serve themselves. They normally do not sit down to eat. These events are referred to as the "Walk and Talk". Normally finger foods or fork foods is what is served at this catering style.
• Buffet Style: Foods are arranged on tables. Guests move along the buffet line and serve themselves. When their plates are filled, guests take them to dining table to eat. Servers usually provide beverage service at tableside.
• Cafeteria Style: Very similar to a buffet style. Guests stand in line, but do not help themselves. They are served by chefs or servers from behind the buffet line. This is a way to control portion sizes.
• Plated: Guests are seated. Foods are pre-portioned in the kitchen, arranged on plates and served by servers from the left. Beverages are served from the right. Used dishes and glassware are removed from the right.​

• Family Style: Guests are seated. Large serving bowls are filled with foods in the kitchen and set on the dinning tables by servers. Guests help themselves by passing the foods to each other.
• Pre-Set Services: Food that is already on the dinning tables when guests seated. Since pre-set foods will be on the tables for a few minuets before they are consumed. Most common pre-set items are bread and butter, appetizers, salads, and desserts.
• The Wave: All servers start at one end of the function room and work straight across to the other end. Servers are not assigned workstations. All servers are on one team and the entire function room is the team's workstation. The wave is usually used with plated and pre-set service styles. Large number of guests can be served very quickly.

Lake Event Catering now offers a mobile food truck. We have a stove, refrigeration, and a sanitary station in our mobile truck. Having this mobile catering truck means that we would be able to cook on site for any event that would like some fresh cooked food right out of the oven.
